RM18Billion Question Over Who Will Get Adnan’s Vote For UMNO’s Top Leadership

KUANTAN, Aug 14 (Bernama) — Pahang Umno liaison chief Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob has proposed that all party members to given the right to vote in the top leaders in an effort to stamp out money politics, said to be rampant now.
The Menteri Besar said money politics now happened at all levels, including even the branches which were having their annual meetings now.
“I know a lot of money have changed hands, so I think it’s time that Umno think of other ways to choose its top leaders; let every member have the right to choose,” he said after closing a state-level seminar on “Strengthening Integrity of Community Leaders”, here Wednesday.
Adnan said he had received a lot of information on the ongoing money politics nationwide in the run-up to the party polls in December.
Upset over this phenomenon, Adnan said he decided not to even contest for a seat in the Supreme Council during the party elections.
He said he was worried that if the scourge was not seriously checked, it would damage the party while it was also not impossible for Umno to be annihilated in the next general election.
Nothing out of the ordinary about this CCC9 fella’s remarks right? Good to know that he is all for the democratic right to vote for whoever one fancies and is just as concerned about money politicis as the rest of us. The people of Pahang should be an enviable lot.
Wanna make a wild guess who he’d be voting for as his top-top boss? One clue, most likely, it’ll be someone whom he’ll be approaching to counter propose a RM18billion broad-band makeover for Telekom against an earlier approved RM11.3billion deal, and who also very kindly (yes this future top leader is very kind-hearted indeed, receiving alleged sodomised victims and all) postponed the signing ceremony of the first deal to hear Adnan out.
