A Dandelion’s Candle Light Vigil In Solidarity For The Victims of ISA…..
Posted by ErnieJean on September 13, 2008
I woke up to a very very gloomy Saturday today…..it has never crossed my mind that I would see the use of ISA ala Oops Lalang in this generation. We have grown up so much since then, and to see how misguided the government is in thinking they can still cow us into submission is utterly depressing.
I’m not sure what will happen next (more arrests perhaps?) but what I do know is that this time, those of us who truly love this land will not take this sitting down, nor will we march the streets in anger while screaming our heads off, UMNO style.
No…..we shall lend our calm and mature support to the good folks in PR and to the victims of this draconian law…..

Haris has called for a Vigil last nite in his blog, and I know many of us will probably not be able make it, even though we seriously want to, yours truly included.
So, I thought, why not hold our own candle light vigil this weekend….since some of us will be celebrating the Moon Cake festival, wouldn’t be any trouble if we were to light up a candle for RPK, Teresa Kok, the poor Sin Chew girl and who knows how many more are currently detained.
So, tonite, when I am taking my kids and their cousins to walk around the garden with their lighted lanterns, I shall light my candles in show of solidarity for the victims of ISA.
Anyone else care to join me? And for those who can, let’s take a snapshot of the lighted candles and post them up, either in our blogs or personal social network page.
And let’s bear this in mind…..”Don’t fear a dying beast’s last strike, but don’t fall for its rouse either“-Haris Ibrahim.
