Sarah Palin’s gaffe on CBS interview

Sarah Palin is unbelievable, she is ignorant about economics and foreign policy. The interview with Katie Couric was just very awful. I do agree the bipartisan commentator Fareed Zakaria and conservative columnist Kathleen Parker that if one ignores the verbiage in the interview, the content from Sarah Palin is gibberish. She contradicts herself, merely echoing the line of John McCain without really understanding the implication of the echo. Katie Couric even has evidence on Kissinger statement on talking without preconditions. The content of her interview in foreign policy and economics can be viewed here.
John McCain in my opinion is really irresponsible to choose Palin as his running-mate. He is just using her to shore up support from far-right conservatives, which is a completely selfish decision as it does not benefit the country to have an ignorant vice-president. I have my suspicion already that Palin is just a convenient toy for McCain to be used. With this interview my suspicion has been confirmed. At least, there is one thing that I do agree with John McCain, the credit crunch and the turmoil of the financial system is the root cause of economic turmoil (rather than sky high price of oil), which is needed to be tackled immediately. Bush at least, once in a blue moon, did the right thing to ask the congress to allow for the $700 billion bail out. Unfortunately both Bush and John McCain fail to rally the Republicans to vote for the bail out. Which brings to me another question in mind, can John McCain really shore up support from his own Republicans?
Anyway, SNL has two really funny sketches on Sarah Palin (played by brilliant Tina Fey). That can be viewed here
