RIP Kugan Anandan: Scenes from the funeral.

Posted by ella-mae on January 28, 2009

MalaysiaKini reports 500 people accompanied Kugan Anandan on his final journey. There were more people waiting for him at the Hindu cemetary at Batu 14, Puchong.

As expected, the police were there but not in their usual numbers. Perhaps most of them were away looking for the culprit who had the gall to take off with three pairs of shoes from the home of former finance minister, Tun Daim Zainuddin.

Many of the hardworking people from Pakatan Rakyat were at the funeral. We only managed to capture photos of Nik Nazmi, Gobind Singh and Teresa Kok.

Nothing hurts like the death of a child, say those who have struggled to go on.

A family's anguish and pain: Nothing hurts like the death of a child, say those who have struggled to go on.

kugan-motherThe towel wet from Kugan's mother's tears fell accidentally onto the coffin bearing his remains. For her Kugan's death contradicts all reasonable human expectations that our children will bury us, not vice versa.

The last pic sums up all everything. His poor mother is left to mourn for him. She took care of him for 22 years, and these despicable dogs in blue can just murder him and WILL get away with it.

Who are these people (Kugan’s family)? They are just poor Malaysians. Will they see justice being done? No as long as we have people like Syed Hamid a.k.a Joseph Goebbels from the Nazi party in power.

NEVER let Kugan’s going be all in vain.

Perhaps it takes a complete unknown, 22-year-old suspected car thief like Kugan a/l Ananthan to finally bring the PDRM to order… along with the most despicable, incompetent & conpromised home minister, police inspector general & attorney-general Malaysia has ever had to suffer. Kugan’s gruesome death in police custody may well be the last straw. Outrageous that such an institution can be corrupted &U hijacked by evil despots like Mahathir bin Mohamad, the stupid mahamamak who put Musa Hassan & Gani Patail where they are today…

    Moral of story.
If you plan to steal a car…just dont get caught.
    Its suicidal.

I cried my heart out when my brother’s friend was locked up by PDRM for a week without any courtesy by PDRM to inform his family. He was ‘caught’ as he witnessed a guy was stabbed by a group of youths, with one connected to the power-that-be. At that pt of time, he was busy at his burger stall, trying to make money on his spare time. A week in a lock up, PDRM finally called his parents to take him back because they couldnt get him to confess that he was the stabber. Consequent to that, he lost his job (1-wk absence from work) and lost his fiancee too (due to ‘criminal’ record). I pray to God Kugan’s untimely death will put a stop to this inhumane nonsensical PDRM treatment. Alblur said we shldnt potray Kugan as hero but in today’s world, heroes are ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Kugan, rest in peace. We owe your loving family our justice for next generations. Without their courage, many more innocent-until-proven lives will die in PDRM’s senseless hands. I don’t know him and his family but i feel as hurt as them? I am not an Indian but why am i angered by this injustice to Kugan? PDRM, respect is to be earned. Low wages don’t give you any rights to take away people’s precious lives.

Kavi, how true when you said that no parents should bury their child.

Syed Hamid, let us tell you something….this is not about making a hero out of a criminal……the public’s outrage is about bringing those who took someone’s life prematurely to justice!!!

Just becos he is a suspected car thief doesn’t give anyone, and def not the police an excuse to torture and kill Kugan!!!

I sincerely pray that those beasts who tortured Kugan, will burn in hell for eternity. God has his own ways to avenge Kugan’s death. Those policemen are heartless and certainly not humans. How would they feel if the same injuries are inflicted on them? There are no words to describe this despicable and deplorable act of violence. Sadist! Inhuman Wretches! Murderers! these terms are not enough to describe those behind this cruelty.

Again, the Polis DiRaja and AG are doing a Sandiwara to hoodwink the silly, gullible people of Malaysia. The smarter ones know that at the end of the day,the ‘real murderers’ will get away….Just like the Altantuya’s case where 2 poor low-ranking policemen were left to face the law. Malaysia Booooliiiiih!!!!
