So, after all that talk about soul-searching and post mortem of the March ’08 Elections results, and finally having their long-postponed annual general assembly, did the UMNO delegates and their leaders finally walk the path of calls to REFORM and TRANSFORM?
Have they finally endeared themselves to all Malaysians??
Has UMNO changed for the better??
Will Pakatan Rakyat be shown the exit door next election??
What can we expect with these newly elected faces of UMNO leadership?
With such a “fantastic” mixture of ass-grabbing, crap-spouting, money-siphoning, Mongolian exploding and extremist inciting individuals, I can definitely forsee a BRIGHT BRIGHT future for this beloved nation of ours……….
Amongst some of the calls made during the speeches and debates, to loud cheers and applause, if I may add, from delegates, were;
“Those days, an application for a taxi permit would require the endorsement of an Umno branch or division chief. If the branches and divisions are strong, then Umno will be strong again,”
“……the party made a mistake in trying to curtail money politics as it showed that Umno leaders are not grateful to the members who have sacrificed for the party.”
“Please make sure the faculty members are all UMNO men, and the same goes for other civil servants,”
“…ensure only UMNO loyalists be appointed senior positions in public universities……” (I mourn for the death of decent education for our future generation….)
Sorry….me a little blur here…….but what happened to all that screaming and shrieking and shouting about defending Malays’ rights??
Or have they become so brazen that they no longer bother to even hide behind that excuse anymore??
Doesn’t it seem to you now that UMNO is promoting that ONLY UMNO men (and women) are allowed to prosper, to be appointed for top civil service positions, to leech onto GLCs, protest against royalty……….(This must be the all-new NEP that they have been talking about huh? Do away with 30% Bumi-quota……..and replaced with UMNO-quota perhaps????)
As for us Non-UMNO folks? (Well, it used to be non-Sons-Of-Soil…..but that category has obviously been altered) We’re the lower-class citizens, born on Malaysian soil to plough the earth……………..so that the LOAFERS can continue loafing and LEECHES continue leeching……
Perhaps that is why Najib’s opening speech rang sooooo hollow for me…………

I had such a GREAT couple of days vacation getaway with the family recently, totally secluded from all the monkeying antics of nation’s political leaders. There were no newspapers, internet facilities that were too extorbitant to be bothered with and a vacation crowd that was not interested in discussing Malaysian political crap. Totally refreshing, but I guess, one has to come back to Mother Earth sooner or later.
Natural, it was almost a “rude wake-up call from the escapade dreams at Neverland” to open up today’s papers and see that nothing has changed much…..someone is still seriously hell-bent on claiming his stake at the throne (by killing off those who may not be his political alliance in th future), idiotic ass-kissing politicians making nonsensical statements and of course the theatrical antics that comes with it all.
Seriously…….when are we ever going to see changes for the better…FOR ONCE!!!!????
The UMNO disciplinary board mentioned something about Malaysians being generally cynical over their every action…..well, A-BUH-DEN!!!??? I know we’re the country of coincidences, but where got so many coincidences wan!!! You tell me lah!!!
So it seems, Ali Rustam and the famous (but not for long) SIL are the first victims of the “UMNO Spring Cleaning” exercise. While I’m glad the racist Malaccan bigot is getting what’s due, honestly, it doesn’t matter who goes first because do you seriously think there’s one, just one, honest-to-goodness UMNO politician in the entire pack? Especially the ones who are contesting for positions this coming UMNO assembly?
As for idiotic “throwing stones in the glasshouse that one lives in” statements, this latest one by a politician from an almost completely wiped out political partner of BN takes the cake;
(The Star) – Gerakan vice-president Huan Cheng Guan has called on Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to resign if there is evidence that members of the DAP-led state government are involved in corruption.
‘‘Practise what you preach. Lim has been going around saying his government is the cleanest ever but now there is an allegation of wrongdoing in his government,” Huan said.
He said that as a matter of principle, Lim should be responsible for the actions of his subordinates.
You know what? I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU Mr. Huan…….so how about issuing that statement to all political leaders besides the ones who kicked you guys out of your political home?
Come On!!!! Be a MAN!!!! Say it to the face of the big boss UMNO taikor about being responsible for his subordinates who threatened Malaysians with keris and bad breath, scaring little children with bad plastic surgeries, throwing diva tantrums, harrassing harmless wheelchair bound old men, embarrassing the nation, siphoning the nation’s wealth to some other foreign land, messing up the country’s education system and a whole lot of incredibly unthinkeable wrongdoings.
And then, say the same thing to the big bosses of your fellow ass-kissing BN political partners about stealing plots of land from the people, building illegal political centres, selling out the ones that they were supposed to protect for power and wealth……….
Yes, it’s nice to know things still remain status quo as far as our political landscape is concerned………while our economy slips a few notches down south……….

Know why Malaysia is still in the humdrum?
Why husbands of some people I know who had to go overseas, leaving the family behind to earn a living because nothing seems to be moving here?
Why there’s another 80,000 folks (and not 40,000 as conservatively estimated by the government) who got retrenched?
This despite the first stimulus package being “supposedly” already released into the economy…………..
Because, despite most of us knowing very well what’s really wrong, especially with the administrators of this country, we seem to be stuck with nowhere to go……Still stuck with the same set of money-devils playing with the nation’s coffers and legal framework who are hell-bent at staying in power by using whatever dirty means.
While leaders of developed nations (now we also know why some nations are called “developed nations” and we’re still “developing” in a never-ending cycle) focus their attention and energy on solving their country’s economy woes, ours are engrossed in playing “masak-masak”…….where the main ingredients are :-
1. 500 gms of RACISM
2. 450gm of LONGKANG-POLITICS
3. 10 tbs of CORRUPTION
4. 1 roll of HYPOCRITISM
Tun Dr. Mahathir had more or less confirmed that the racial politics, played to perfection by UMNO and their “running dogs”, are more for political power concerns rather than actual concerns for the race they profess to be conning “protecting”.
“Whether we like it or not, if Umno is no longer a race-based party, the likelihood is that PAS will take over the Government,” he said in reply to a question after giving a talk on “Malaysia at the Crossroads” at Cambridge University on Wednesday.
And how about this candidate who is currently one of the three scallywags “turks” vying for a place as one of the nation’s future leadership……Who had proudly proclaimed that UMNO, under his leadership, lost the Selangor state because the party was NOT racist and Islamist enough.
This same frozen-faced chap actually believed that Umno should continue actively promote their brand of UMNO Malay agenda and UMNO Islamic policies, and the party will succeed in turning the tide in the next general election.
Well, Mr. Frozen Face……how about you please do us that big favour and continue with those racist proposals and next election, the rakyat truly send you packing along with the ‘tsunami’ tide to Timbuktoo!!!
I came across this extremely racist piece of crap, entitled “Bodohkah Melayu” written by some chap who, believe me, seriously doesn’t look at all like an “Earth-Prince” but more 100% something else….say of the Indian ethnic background?
However, like all UMNO mamak breeds, this guy is adamant that he be as racist as possible, perhaps with hope that people can forget where his true origins are from………pity his ancestors and parents…….
Excerpt from “Bodohkah Melayu” at http://www.tepakbersulam.com/ aka Khazai Abu Bakar
(p.s. I’m only going to do a very simplified translation……..as most of what’s being written is more or less in the same crappy tune)
Melayu tidak lagi serupa UMNO melayu. Melayu tidak lagi sayangkan UMNO melayu, melayu menulis menghina pemimpin UMNO melayu, melayu mahukan hak UMNO melayu terhakis, melayu mahukaN melayu terus menjadi kuda, Melayu mahukan melayu jadi boneka.
(Loose Translation : Malays don’t love themselves anymore)
(Loose Translation : See how they allowed a hindu to be the speaker in the Perak state assembly. That Hindu insulted our king and our race) *vomit blood*
Gadaikan hak melayu, gadaikan maruah bangsa, tak apa kata mereka, tak apa kata pemimpin Pas, gadaikan maruah agama. Tak apa kata mereka lagi. Asalkan kita berkuasa.
(Loose Translation : Supporting the hindu is akin to negleting the malays. We must do whatever, at all costs, to ensure that we are the kings scumbags ones on top and in power.)
(Loose Translation : ARISE my people….ARISE!!!!!! For more than 50 years, malays have been enslaved protected by UMNO, not them!!! UMNO is the one who handicapped nutured us so how can we turn our backs on them!!)
Can someone please tell our incoming PM that launching some dumb “One Malaysia” campaign with fancy fancy juvenile slogans and giving speeches such as , “Let us develop not only the economic and political ties but also the social and cultural relationship with all ethnic groups in the country,” will not buy the hearts of the voters……..not when it is so obvious that under your leadership, the total opposite is being practised, endorsed and approved.

You know what?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
ENOUGH with all these low-life tactics to politically assassinate one’s opponent. For once, can’t these people pppplllleeeeaaaasssseeee come up with something that has more substance than some cheap nauseating thrills!!??
Nude photos: Politician lodges police report
Malaysiakini – Feb 16, 09 9:45am
A top Selangor assemblywoman, whose nude photographs are being circulated in public, has made a report urging the police to investigate the matter.
According to the assemblywoman, she lodged the report late last night at Damansara police station in Petaling Jaya at about 11pm.
It is believed that the photographs were taken without her consent, most likely by a former boyfriend, while she was sleeping.
Malaysiakini has seen a couple of the photos, one of which shows her asleep naked in bed.
The politician, who is from the ruling Pakatan Rakyat coalition in Selangor, has been severely traumatised by the release of the photos.
She told Malaysiakini that it was a gross invasion of her privacy.
“I’m a little speechless and at loss of words,” she said, adding that she would leave to the police to find the culprit who circulated the photos.
The photos have been sent to a number of newspapers, including The Sun and Malay Mail, which today ran reports on the matter.
According to one of her supporters, the release of the photos is aimed at casting aspersions on her and Pakatan ahead of two crucial by-elections in April, in Kedah and Perak.
The assemblywoman, who is in her late 30s and single, is expected to release a statement later today.
From what I gathered, these are basically photos taken of Eli Wong sleeping in nude/almost nude, without her consent mind you……….I mean, COME ON!!! Im’ very sure there’s many of us out there, men included, who has slept in their “birthday-suits” before, so WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL!!!???
These photos are neither controversial nor are they sexy!! What they are, are basically a gross violation of one’s personal boundaries!!!! Nothing more and nothing less!!
To use private photos of another person in order to embarrass him/her is not only criminal but TRULY TRULY DESPICABLE!!!
And you know what……I somehow suspect that the source of this “despicability” has the stinky trademark scent of some mastermind from a particular racist and corrupted political party that promotes and approves of such of behaviour………and for anyone to not know which party I’m referring to, must have been a hermit in some limestone caves……….
No, I have not seen the photos, nor will I ever be interested in viewing them……because by doing so would only give whoever posted those photos the publicity he/she so crave.
As far as I’m concerned, Elizabeth Wong is one great assemblywoman and the work that she has done for the people (even way before she was elected) certainly outweighs all that Toyol and his goons have done in their entire political career!!!
Btw, I do wonder if it could also be because of her and the PR state government’s unwavering stand on many issues that has made them the darlings of the voters but hugely “unpopular” with the corrupted businessmen, who used to get their way with the previous Toyol government by just donating large amounts to some mysterious “Football Club”……….the illegal billboards and dangerous hillside developments instantly springs to mind……..hhhmmmmm…..
Quite frankly, I certainly DONT’ GIVE A DAMN what she wears to sleep, do you?
And just like Teresa Kok and her ISA detention, this incident of betrayal will not only ensure that the political career of Eli Wong will definitely live on, but she will find herself deluged with public support…….
Ultimately the BIG LOSER will NOT be the victim, but the perpertrator!!!!

(This is the Bahasa Malaysia version for the previous post by Oscar – From Jelapang to Jelutong: A Tale of Defiance)
(“A Malaysian Who Dared Sue a King” Far Eastern Economic Review, 20 May, 1993).

Tell me you’re not feeling the same sort of distress when you saw this picture on the front page of our MSMs………
Well, I’m still nauseous from the sight of all the “ringgit-fed” vile fat faces, smilling triumphantly.
A friend wrote the following in hopes that more people will be aware of the seriousness of voicing our collective discontent now, has agreed to allow me to share with all you good folks…….
And after reading, do sign the Sultan’s guestbook. It may be too late to change the Tuanku’s mind for whatever decision he has made, but at least we’ve collectively voiced our outrage and dissapointment over the blatant unprincipled and corrupted practices of the current ruling coalition.
ALL MALAYSIANS, Please stand by our fellow Perak-ians: each and every one of us, regardless of religion, race, state, cultural and educational backgrounds stand to greatly loose out, not only on our rights and interests as citizens of Malaysia, but also our individual sense of self-respect and the consequently, the strength of our individual electoral votes in future.
Those politicians we voted for in Perak represent our utter dissatisfaction with the current government, and the fact that those in vile power can unjustifiably force their way into power with total disregard for the people’s collective votes and voice is a crime against our every Malaysian’s interests.
And, it does not change our unease and frustrations with filthy political figures who will blatantly show off their power to field unfair and underhanded manipulation of power for all to see, as if unashamedly urging the people to feel the threats of fears and resentment towards them… almost goading the people of Malaysia to succumb to unnecessary crime and violence.
That those politicians jumped ship does not mean that we would do the same: we will not jump away from our responsibilities and rights as citizens and we will not be manipulated by filthy politics, and especially not those led by a power greedy politician associated with foul and brutal murder.
It is not by chance that the opposition won the majority seats in the last election but the present events clearly demonstrate that it can only be by choice, and only freedom of choice that the opposition, any opposition at all, continues to win the hearts of every other Malaysian citizen who will never accept any person associated with murder to use whatever means possible to force their way into power, and with total disrespect and disregard for the rights and interests of the people.
As a people, at this time, who will say without shame that they will happily allow the vile powers of crime, corruption and disgraceful politics to triumph over us?
For all that we have enjoyed, we have also endured under the power of old, ineffective and irrelevant. It is clear: we do not want to continue on the path to filth and nothing will falter our determination to bring about a better, cleaner governing faculty clearly intent on genuinely protecting our interests, and that of our children.
Our faith in the system will be immensely weakened if the Sultan shows partiality to those in vile power: in consequence, the DYMM will be demonstrating an appalling favor for filthy politics and injustice against the voice of his people, and the people of Malaysia.
Our faith will be renewed if the DYMM listens to the voice of the people and share our struggles and concerns against those in vile power.
In any case, we need to do what we can to serve the majority and defend ourselves. We need to do what we can to stop being manipulated into working for deplorable and dishonorable politics.
We cannot quietly tolerate being misused by unrepentant politicians who will not understand that “no” means “NO” and continue to abuse and violate our interests, rights, morality and through their power over the media, even our thoughts.
We cannot allow ourselves to continue to be treated condescendingly, to continue to be undermined and manipulated into having faith in filth and lies intent on turning our differences against us. We truly need to defend our interests, and help protect the interests of our fellow Malaysians.
Please help strengthen the voice of every citizen of Perak and Malaysia, right now, to our DYMM SULTAN AZLAN to NOT ignore the fervent wishes of the people and initiate a state election, which the BN will NOT win.
For all that we know, from all the clearly foul tactics that they have used, the only supporters that BN holds in the state of Perak are those that they have either bribed, threatened and coerced. Now ask yourself: who would do better than any politician associated with brutal murder and foul political tactics?
My answer: anyone with a clear conscience, and a genuine concern for others.
SIGN DYMM SULTAN AZLAN’S GUESTBOOK HERE:
– Jacq Soo.
As for those who sold their souls for a couple of million ringgit, let it be known that you all have signed your political death sentence. Next election, our dissapointment and anger will be translated to our votes!!

Election Commission is piece of lying shit! Just bring on the by election! Oh so much shits going on, I feel shitty writing this shit.
Posted by barbie on February 4, 2009
Just reading this making me want to vomit.
When asked by the reporter whether he had doubts over the two sets of letters ( the first set of letters of resignation sent in earlier, and the second where the two reps now say they have not resigned ), he replied : “You got two letters from two elected representatives and in the same breath you get another set of letters from same people. So how to make a decision? Because of the doubts created, we cannot make a decision to declare the seats as vacant. Therefore status quo remains“.
Status quo remains, yet they made the decision in favour of the second letter, purportedly by the missing reps! And why these two reps never come out and make their statements openly but through some middle mans? Where the hell are these two reps? Suspicion has been raised regarding identities of the people making the statements on behalf of the two missing PKR reps.
When asked whether the Commission would investigate the discrepancy between the two letters, he replied : “No, that is not our duty. Our duty is not to investigate. Based on the letters given to us we make the decision“.
When asked if the Commission would probe the matter further, he replied :
“No, as far as we are concerned, we got two sets of letters. One from the speaker and the other from the two assemblypersons. It is the commission’s responsibility to decide whether the seats are vacant or not”.
Oh? First, they cannot make any decision and now it’s the EC’s responsibility to decide whether the seat are vacant or not? That’s the most unconvincing and lame bullshits ever! This is the damning proof that EC is nothing but a piece of shit working as running dog for the establishment.
It is clear. Umno/BN wants these two reps to join them, WITH THEIR SEATS intact and with so many telling signs this is another Najib’s way of doing things. Just read Tulang Besi’s article at Malaysian Waves for the juicy details.
1) PR government is ready for the by election. Let’s battle it out again and let the rakyat decide once again. So the Speaker declared the seats vacant after ‘received’ the resignation letters from the two reps. It is clear here, Umno doesn’t want to go for another by election. Perhaps Ezam is tired of hauling his magic boxes and letters everywhere with him everytime by election come.
2) Najib became UMNO Perak’s head and two reps are missing until now! Well we know how Najib is expert in handling missing person. Where’s Bala now?
3) There are points being raised regarding the resignation letters saying it could be signed under duress. It is an OPEN SECRET that assemblymen of Pakatan Rakyat signed the undated resignation letter few days after they became “Yang Berhormat”. Signing it under duress? My foot!
A simple analogy of the ‘undated resignation letter’ would be like those matrimonial/prenuptial agreements to protect the groom/bride so when anything happens, any of the groom/bride can go to court and get their marriage declared null. Nobody signed it under duress, they were too happy to:
– in the case of the married couple, to finally get the license to copulate accordance to the law.
– in the case of the assemblymen, they finally become Yang Berhormat and state exco.
4) We love by elections. Constituencies are development overnight. New tarred roads, street lightings, influxs of education funds, promises of new market, factories, investments – things the rakyat can’t get during other times. Bring on the by election!
5) Latest update/rumours saying 3 PR reps already resigned from their parties. Agenda Daily has the story.
“ADUN Behrang, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi dan Changkat Jering, Osman Jailu dari Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) dan ADUN Jelapang Hee Yit Foong yang juga Timbalan Speaker DUN Perak hari Rabu telah menghantar surat kepada parti masing-masing memaklumkan keputusan keluar parti.”
Check out the letters and the content. Notice the header, the way it is written almost identical. Yes, that’s how idiots do things in Malaysia. And, read what these reps said to their respective parties.
“Sila ambil maklum bahawa perisytiharan saya keluar parti/tidak lagi menjadi ahli DAP tidak bermaksud saya meletakan jawatan selaku Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri dan apa jua notis perletakan jawatan sebagai Ahli Dewan Negeri yang ditandatangani secara “undated” dan tidak cop rasmi saya adalah dengan ini terbatal secara ab initio.”
(Please be informed that my decision to quit the party doesn’t mean I am resigning from my position as ADUN and what ever resignation notices signed “undated” and without my official seal should be considered invalid as ab initio) – pardon my lousy translation.
That’s an example of utmost power crazy statement for you.
6) Najib is said to announce at a press conference in Putrajaya at 4pm that BN will take over the Perak government with these 3 reps jumping over to their side. And from Malaysia Today:
The Sultan of Perak is said to be in Kuala Lumpur. The Perak Menteri Besar is not able to have an audience with Tuanku to request the dissolution of the Perak State Assembly.
Perak has fallen.
Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak will announce the formation of a new Perak state government at 4.00pm today in Putrajaya.
Dato Nasaruddin has crossed back to Umno. Two more DAP Perak State Assemblyman/ women are said to have defected.
Five Pakatan Rakyat State Assemblymen in Kedah are said to be ready to cross over to Barisan Nasional. The Kedah state government is also about to fall.
If this is true, these reps just signed their political death letter to incur the wrath of the people. The public sentiment is overwhelmingly against the corrupt establishment, their acts would be forever remembered as betrayal to the people.
I am tired of this shit. Aren’t you?

Gosh, yet another defeat for UMNO. Right after being trashed in a humiliating defeat at Permatang Pauh, another loss with such a convincing majority for Pakatan Rakyat, should jolt any leader of the losing team up from their slumber, shouldn’t it?
I mean, this loss, is despite all the “last-minute-but-decided-long-ago”(yea, right…) grants to the residents, threats of discontinuing development, alleged vote buying, phantom voters, well-tuned singing of the trusty ole’ MSMs, threats by Auntie Rosmah that she’ll never set foot in KT if UMNO losses (hhhmmm..perhaps that’s why they lost, hehe)and so many more trademark UMNO/BN by-election campaign styles.
“It’s only a minor setback,” so says our PM-in-waiting, while eyeing the nearest exit after his obligated loser’s press conference…because dear PM was smart to run off to another country first.
“I believe the people will return to Barisan’s fold,” he added. (While head still buried in sand box?)
Yes, but which Barisan are your referring to? HeHeHe 😛
We can, of course, discount Najib to ever learn to be a gracious loser, not now, not in the near future, not ever.
And of course with MCA despearately seeking to curry UMNO’s favour again, dictator-wannabe Ong Tee Keat and his machais were, of course, what else but boasting about higher Chinese votes this time round, as compared to the March elections (I’m still wondering how on earth did they manage to come up with such favourable statistics so soon, hhhhmmmmmmm)………..parading around like peacocks on heat. So, MCA is still relevant?
But KUDOS to the winning party…..I was truly impressed that even though the PAS candidate won, their president Hadi Awang was quick to credit the other members of Pakatan Rakyat for the victory. And how true he was.
DAP, PAS and PKR are definitely settling down quite comfortably in their partnership and at the moment, I’m truly excited about the prospect of having this new coalition run our country. Goodness knows how badly we need to replace the current incompetent captains running this ship.
And HATS OFF to the group of bloggers who helped Pakatan Rakyat in their campaigning while keeping us (those who were not able to join them in KT) updated, especially one “celebrity” blogger, who commanded more photo ops with the humble folks of KT, than all the BN ministers and big wigs put together, including dear ole’ DPM.
So what’s next?
Yes, UMNO has lost and no doubt humiliated beyond comprehension but they still hold the key to the government and of course the nation’s coffers, and hence can be expected to continue splurging like money grows on trees. I mean, as the saying goes, “You can’t teach old dogs new tricks”. Let’s forget about UMNO ever being taught a lesson. For that matter, MCA and MIC too…..they’re still talking about unwavering ground support and still singing the same racist tunes.
I think it’s time we bank our country’s future with the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. More and more folks are begining to realise the great potential this new coalition has. The news that their leaders are going to hold a summit to discuss and map out a future for a more cohesive partnership certainly brings good tidings and let’s hope and pray that Malaysians will not have to wait another few more decades to see changes for the better.
Oooo…….Exciting times we’re heading, folks ;D

Someone’s obviously running scared…….better cover his rear-end first by issuing a damage-control statement………

‘Don’t use polls to gauge popularity of leaders’KUALA TERENGGANU: The Kuala Terengganu by-election should not be used to gauge the popularity of the leaders of the country or the state, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.
He said the by-election on Jan 17 was for the people here to choose the best person to represent them.
“This is not a referendum on me, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi or Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said,” he told a press conference after the close of nominations here yesterday. (Oooooo………..of course it’s not………is there a reason why it should be in the first place? Just make sure if your man does win for some reason or another, you and the PM will not be the first one to jump on the pedestal and declare that you’re popular, yar?)
Najib said Barisan’s candidate was the best man for the job because he has already been guaranteed a deputy minister’s post if he won.
“The electorate in Kuala Terengganu should think deeply on who they feel will be the best man to represent them – a deputy minister or an opposition MP.
“I have already told the Barisan machinery to explain to the voters that if they vote for PAS, their representative will never become a deputy minister,” he said. (So…….this is the “brilliant strategy” cooked up by UMNO!!!??? )
Najib said the Barisan was ready to answer all issues raised by the opposition. (Erm……..what about the answers to all the previous issues raised? We’re still waiting lah…..)
He said the Barisan would use a people-friendly approach, with “Barisan Is People-Friendly” as the campaign theme. (Yes….very friendly indeed….so much so that cyclists can get harrassed and candle stick holder get beaten up……..)
This, he added, would make the people the ruling coalition’s focus in the by-election.
“We are stressing this concept as a reflection of what we are doing. Our target is the people and they are our priority when we carry out any development programmes,” he added.
Najib said the opposition was likely to use national issues in their campaign because they seemed to have run out of local issues to harp on. (I’m sorry but don’t national issues affect local issues?)
Asked if he was optimistic about Barisan retaining the seat, Najib replied: “Based on the number of people who turned up to show support for our candidate, the mood is for Barisan but we cannot underestimate PAS as it is a formidable opponent.” (Wow…..truly a Master at twisting words…..*clap clap* !!)
Now, I was initially wondering why would our DPM be so quick and eager to quash any links of defeat to the support for his leadership…until I came across some photos of Day 1 Nomination Day At KT (Thanks to Malaysia Today and Uncle Zorro ;D) ………..NO WONDER-LAH!!!!!!
CHECK OUT PHOTOS TAKEN FROM THE UMNO CAMP………..
AND NOW……FOR PHOTOS TAKEN FROM THE PAS/PAKATAN RAKYAT CAMP…….
While the show of support for PAS undoubtedly reveals how UMNO/BN are fast losing support due to their brand of arrogant politics, let’s just hope those numbers actually translate into actual votes.
